biggest series of the year against the Angels. If the Yankees play like they normally do out here, the 3 games left with boston could be enormous..................
I don't think the Yankees are built to go far pitching wise in the playoffs.

Yeah, I'm really thinking the Yanks are going to be the wild card when the regular season is all said and done. Red Sox have a much easier schedule the rest of the way, and the Yankees pitching is suspect beyond CC. AJ had a nice game the other night, and Mo blows the game with the homer to Ichiro. I don't know...the last few years have jaded me and made me cynical towards the Yanks' chances.

I think the yanks still win the division, but the pitching is not where it was 6 weeks ago, and that could very well spell doom early in the playoffs.

Pettite looked good last night, but the Angels are in the Yanks' heads. They can't play out there at all. And the damn Royals are the best team in the majors this past week.

Cards spank the Astro's at lemonade park. Magic number is 2. Looks like Tommy's Spankees might win a game in another time zone..BloSox fall to the Royals. Phils split a double header... What a night at the old ball park.
Looks like the Nats have last place locked up and aren't giving it up to any one. The boys from Wrigley haven't completely asphyxiated but their oxygen tanks are running really low. Dropping MB seems to have helped morale but way too damn late for a second wind in the windy city.
I'm really not looking forward to this trip to Colo..could be quite gloomy the way the Rockies are playing.

Yankees are in the playoffs...no shock there

Tigers hold ground keeping the Twins off their backs 2.5 behind. AL central will come down to the head to head series with the Twins next week (4 game series).

BIG win for the Yankees. Not because they clinched a playoff spot, but because they let the Angels come back from 5-0 down, and they win it playing small ball. Magic number is 6, so a sweep of the Red Sox and the division is wrapped up.

Kudos to the Royals for another win vs. Boston.

It was real? I thought i was dreaming when I saw Rivera strike the guy out and then Posada threw the guy out stealing in the 9th. Oh happy fukkin' day, finally a win over the headache Angels out here.
