    • Tommy, I agree with you. Deplorable they missed the call on Mauer's ball, but the Twins still had no outs and bases loaded and couldn't score. I wish they'd shut up and own up to the fact that they couldn't get one darn hit off of the Yanks's last available pitcher.

On a side note, the ump last night for the Yanks game was terrible. Calling strikes for Blackburn on the outside, and Burnett wasn't getting the same calls. P***ed me off.

Cards go out with a whimper tonight. Dodgers look tough....I think they're going to the WS.

Oh my god. I wanted to kill these guys. Theyre supposed to be the Mets announcers but they are the biggest Yankee fanboys Ive ever heard. Constantly predicting how the Yankees would win the game in the next inning or whatever. Really annoying. Its ok because it looks like I'll be able to break out my Brooklyn hat if all goes well...hehe.

        • Papelbon blows the save, and the Red Sox are eliminated. I would have loved to see them vs. the Yankees in the ALCS, but I can't help but say 'Good riddance'.

            • Angels were down to their final strike.

Yankees complete the sweep last night. Pettite pitched a great game, but not as good as Pavano (THAT was the guy we signed for 40M). But it was all a waste as A-Rod comes up huge again. Going to be a great matchup in the ALCS.

              • and it was the Angels number 9 batter, what a turn of events.
The Twins outhit the Yankees for the whole series, but they had no power.
They left so many men on base in every game. They had their chances but the pitching and the pen overall did a great job.
Arod was the x-factor. Posada was great too.
Jeter, and Swisher made big plays in the field all series on baserunning mistakes that could have the Yankees down 2 games to 1 right now.

                • Keith, that game 2 was a crushing blow, my condolences to the cardinals, and to you. I know the feeling of not getting it done as well as getting it done. Never thought a sweep would go down in that series either way.
It's a good thing that they played the Rockies -Phillies game at night, just to make sure the temperature went under 30 for player comfort. Lots of runs for such cold weather.

                    • Yes it's Friday for the ALCS and Thursday for the NLCS.

Hopefully a repeat of the Phils and Dodgers!

                      • The New York Yankees vs. The Los Angeles Anaheim Santa Barbara Santa Ana San Bernadino Angels of Los Angeles Orange County- Fri. start.

i have a 5 game losing streak with the Yankees out here Shawn, most likely will not go unless my boss scores tickets and brings me, still might not go even then.
Yes i will go if the aforementioned happens, otherwise, I've spent all of my money on the sports packages on T.V, it was that or buy a house, I went with the packages-lol

I'm so freakin emotionally drained after the way the cards played the last 6 weeks it's amazing I can even think. I don't know if they were tired or just tarded... I'm happy the finished the season on top of the NL Central and at least made the play offs. I was hoping the Rox would make it passed the Phils but that dream has been shit on as well..lol.
