6 in a row for the Pinstripes, texas takes down the Angels, and the Sox blew a 10-1 lead in the 7th to the orioles and lost 11-10. you really can't ask for too much more than that.

Absolutely great night to be a Yankees fan. Watching the Orioles come back and beat the Red Sox was great. They usually pull those games out in the last at-bat.
Still not sure how I feel about Wang in the rotation. Got any thoughts on that Tommy?
many thoughts JK. You know how Wang got hurt right? It was a headache interleague game when he was hiting and he hurt his foot rounding third base last year. he won 19 games two years in a row and was 8-2 last year when he went down. He's had his velocity but what's been hampering him is his legs underneath him. He's pitched better each time he's went out the last 3 starts, so given that he was the ace of the staff for almost 3 years, you gotta look at the end result if he can make it back to where he was. I think the yanks are a good enough team to deal with the work in progress.
My main problem is with Girardi overmanaging all the time. The guy goes by the book, or the numbers more than what he sees happening more often than not. i don't know why Phil Hughes did not come out for the 8th after setting down the mariners in the 7th on 9 pitches. Hughes has been great out of the pen so far, Arod is starting to hit again, 12 rbi's in his last 6 games. They need that guy a lot more than people think to make that lineup what it can be.
Yeah, I remember when Wang got hurt last year. You can tell it's part mental with him right now, and part physical.
I think Hughes would be better off being the starter, and Wang in the bullpen. Wang gets more groundball outs, and his off-speed stuff is filthy when on.
Glad to see Arod coming around...they will not be anywhere close in Sept. without him catching fire. I do like the Hinske pick up yesterday too.
Not sure what to think about hinske yet. The Sox have a very favorable schedule this month, and the Yankees is no cakewalk, they need to play better than ever right now.
oh that sucked, the sox came back and stuck it to the Orioles.
It was 5-1 in the 9th and the O's mighty pen gave it right back.
Jays beat the rays at least.
i took great pleasure in that. 7 in a row for the yanks.
CC vs. the offensively challenged mariners tonight.
the numbers don't mean shit though, you have to go out and execute regardless.
