Cliff Lee is officially a Phillie now. That's a big fuck you to Toronto, and makes the halladay situation even more interesteing now.
Snell went to Seattle, I know the yanks were interested in him as well. Things are heating up!!!

Somewhere I have a signed pic and ball from Halladay from his rookie year I believe. If I didn't throw it out... Not a huge baseball fan.

Halladay is still scheduled to pitch today at 4:40 p.m.
I think we should hear anytime now. Of course the trade deadline is still 48 hours away but if he gets injured today pitching, all deals are off-lol

If halladay starts today, I'd say the jays are still at zero with him.
If you're brian cashman or theo epstein, you don't want that guy missing a start or risking injury today. It's an action packed trade crazy wednesday so far, if he starts
today, he's going nowhere. i am the all wise and ever knowing Nostra -Thomas.

The yanks don't need outfielders. With the new ballpark it just sails out.
I'm glad to see Lee went to the Phillies after they played the Cards. We got spanked enough without him on the Phillies roster.
There is going to be some crazy trades in the next 48 hours. I love seeing some of these ball teams sell their soul to win a few games.

Interesting points from everyone. Now that Lee is off the market things are even more interesting. Roy started as everyone said but IMO that won't really make a diff in the trade because it's against a fairly harmless team. He's such a horse...nothing bothers that cat.

I feel Bucholz if anything hurt the trade chances in a way the way he pitched. It was Green that ended up blowing it for us but if Clay had a strong start, things MAY look different.

I did not know that they were asking for Joba and Hughes. I certainly am not a fan of Joba but you have to love his intensity. Kinda like cinco ocho. Although he hasn't exactly been lights out as of late either. I still say pound for pound the best closer in the game is Sandman...Dude just gets it done night after night.

Thanks for the explanation that you said about cash with the Sox vs. Yanks. Finally someone else gets it too. We (Sox Nation and the owners) have decided to keep Fenway for now and in the forseable future so there is only so much that can be done on that front. Yankee Stadium is just SO much bigger. I didn't realize they made that much on the YES Network alone....Dayum !!!!

And Drake, Go Sox indeed... Do you get to see any of the games? Not sure where you are bro. We sure miss Remy on the broadcast but Eckersly is quickly becoming a fan favorite. Dude is an awesome color guy. "throwin some high cheese with hair on it" "He's got the salad workin tonight." ROFL

Can't wait to see what happens in the next 48 hours or so...
Look Up...Get Up...And Never EVER Give Up...

I'm not an AL fan at all. I would however kill to see the Green Monster just once in my life. I think every baseball fan should.

                      • 3rd great start in a row for joba tonight, 8 innings full. Yanks bust out the lumber again with 3 more home runs. I hate posting like this before the game is over, bad kharma, but it's 6-0 in the 9th.

6-2 now after a Longoria homerun. poor Brian Bruney, he can't get anyone out lately.
                          still no outs.

                          • Great game by Joba. 2 of 3 from the Rays, and the Sox losing again to the A's. The next two days are going to be real interesting on the trade front. Sox may be desperate enough to get Halladay for whatever the price.

                              • No, I was going to but decided to pass. Kicking myself now because the Yankees are usually in town in April when it's still freezing here. Was contemplating going Sunday night which will be a great match-up (CC vs. Buehrle).
