  • Victor Martinez is one of the best RBI men in the game. That was a really good deal for the Sox who needed a bat.
Melky!!! gets the Yanks off the shneid with a cycle.
Not only do the Yankees face Halladay, what's worrying me 10 times more is that Sergio Mitre is our leadoff pitcher in the upcoming series against the Sox-lol Could be looking at 0-9 to start the season against them. He blows-lol

    • Halladay looked like he was going to the Angels in the very end as a huge deal was given an extension over the trade deadline but could not get done.

      • I didn't hear that about the Angels and Halladay, Tommy. Damn that would've been tough come playoff time. The Yankees can't be the Halos any way...lol.

Yeah Mitre is damn scary...but not as scary as Kei Igawa. Let's hope they aren't scraping the bottom of the barrel, and calling him up.

        • Andy vs. Halladay tonight.............
If you get any baserunners on Halladay, you must push them across when you have a chance to. his ERA is ridiculous for pitching in the A.L. East.
The Jays wanted too much for Halladay, that's why he didn't move. Rightly so, the guy is a horse.

            • Yankees beat Halladay for the second time in a row, and after Buerhle. I cannot get a handle on the Yanks this year. they look great, then they look somewhat average, I don't get it.

              • I agree...the games you think they'll have no problem with they look horrible. The Red Sox series will be a big test for them, both mentally and in the standings.

How about the Evan Longoria show in Tampa last night?

                • Rays were lucky to have survived, they had the bases loaded no outs in the 8th, no runs. 1st and 2nd in the 9th, 1 out, no runs. bases loaded no outs in the 10th-no runs. I was getting pissed-lol

                  • Mitre comes through tonight...very surprising. 2 1/2 game lead for the Yanks going into the big series starting tomorrow.

Did you see the clips of Prince Fielder trying to get into the Dodgers clubhouse last night?

                      • I hope the Yankee fans don't go overboard booing Ortiz for testing positive ya know?
We don't have any footing when it comes to roids-lol
I say release all the names and let the game heal and move on for godsakes, the way everything is leaking out slowly is just weak weak weak. I don't care about steroids, it may make you bigger, or heal an injury faster, but it does not make you see the ball better. manny Ramirez is still one of the best hitters i've ever seen in my life.
In fact, I'll release the names right now and tell you all who tested positive for steroids right now-

The following are guilty of Steroid use- The New York Juicekees
                        1 Detroid Tigers
                        2-Boston Roid Sox
                        3-Tampa Bay Devil Roids
                        4-Baltimore Orioids
                        5-Toronto Juice Rays
                        6-K.C. Roydals
                        7-Houston Astroids
                        8-Cincinnatti Roids
                        9-Coloroido Rockies
                        10-San Diego Padroids
                        11-Pittsburgh Piroids

                        more to be disclosed later-lol

I hate how he quit on us but he is the best pure hitter i have ever seen.

                            • I agree with that rundown, Superfly. It'll be an interesting series to see how it plays out.

Tommy...just read Montero is done for the season at Double A. Fractured a finger last night.

I think every game is going to be a bloodsport and not turn out the way we think-lol, but those predicts are on the mark if you're looking at the numbers. all I want is a win tonight, then the Yanks can tank and lose 3 in a row and still be in first by a half game. Of course if they win only one game at any time it's the same situation.
jason bay is out of the lineup i think.
I gotta read about Montero JK, better a finger than a knee or an achillies i guess but any injury blows the big one. he's gonna be a good player.
