Do the yankees have a letdown today against pesky Jays?
Mitre on the mound, Jays could be a good bet if you're a betting man.
V-Mart breaks a 31 inning scoreless drought, but the yanks pull it off in the end.
Weird series to say the least. Boston pitchers threw very well outside of game 1.
Lots of season left, no time to get comfortable for anyone.
Nice to see texas beat the Angels. Should have swept them.
Tigers win a slugfest, that was a great game.
Shane Victorino gets thrown out of the game from centerfield, that was hilarious!!!

Unbelievable series sweep for the Yankees...it's like the late 90s all over again. Lots of baseball left to be played though. Yankees 7-game win streak includes wins against Buehrle, Halladay, Beckett and Lester. Very impressive.

well 2 things are going against the Tigers...one is they suck on the road and two is they suck against the AL East so I don't have high hopes for that series

Yanks have a letdown. Mitre pitched as good as expected. Red Sox squeak one out.

Tommy, I got the Joe Torre book from the library and started reading it over the weekend. Did you get a chance to check that out?

Yanks stopped hitting after the 4th inning last night. I had a feeling they might tank a little. Tigers made a game of it after falling into a 4-0 hole. Jackson was up around 100 pitches by the 5th,Sox got him out early.
the Torre book has some interesting things in it to say the least JK. You'll be surprised by some of it. Verducci, the author is kinda of a pansy though, you'll see. Intersting read though, lots to say. How can't there be ya know?

for the Tigers leaving runners at 2nd and 3rd in the 8th with only 1 out and failing to score a tying run killed them...that and going to the bullpen too early.

Youkillis...that guy is such a tool. It was awesome seeing that young, lanky kid take that putz down to the ground.

Yankees head out to the West Coast after today. Seattle, Oakland, then all the way back to Boston. I read today that Joba's got about 39 innings left until he hits their limit for him for the regular season. I know they are skipping his next start in the rotation with Gaudin I think. Girardi also said they are not moving him to the bullpen.

What do you got out there, MLB Extra Innings?

Funny when watching game one of that series on ESPN the other night I looked at Youkilis and thought thats one mean looking SOB...totally different opinion of him now after Porcello tossed him like he was play wrestling with a 5 year old lol

Not much of a fight which is typical of baseball brawls. If all Youkilis has is throwing a batting helmet he's not much of a physical threat...my 15 yr old son can take him
