      • no jeter, no swisher in the lineup, it wouldn't of mattered, Halladay was dealing from the first pitch.

            • Day/nighter for the Yanks. Got the 1st one, now Burnett on the mound to start the 2nd game. Having a bit of a rough start so far.

              • Burnett gets off the snide. Jeter hitless in 2 games, still 3 shy of Gehrig's Yankees record. I heard last night that if the playoffs ended today it'd be Yanks-Tigers in the ALDS. That would be a good series. Maybe Shawn would take some bets?

                • yankees magic number is 16, and 19 for home field advantage.
Have a makeup game at home with the angels coming up, then 3 out there.
would be nice to at least play well against them.
Pena out for the season, that was sad to see yesterday.

                    • Assuming the Yankees finish with Best Record, they will have the option of selecting:
                      Playoff Series A:
                      Game 1- 10/7
                      Game 2-10/9
                      Game 3-10/11
                      Game 4-10/12
                      Game 5 10/14
                      OR
                      Playoff Series B
                      Game 1-10/8
                      Game 2-10/9
                      Game 3-10/11
                      Game 4-10/12
                      Game 5-10/14
Selecting Series A allows you to go with three starters and skip Chamberlain. However it also means Burnett would start in game 5.
Selecting Series B means Chamberlain would start in game 4, but Sabathia would go if there's a game 5.

Opinions? I'll take A all the way.

                            • Working on a o-fer tonight too.

I would go with with Option B. Chamberlain is usually pumped for big games, and I'd rather have CC starting Game 5 then coming in to keep us close if we're behind.
