Verlander vs. CC is a pick 'em.
Last year everyone forgets that CC pitched on 3 days rest in his last 5 starts to get the brewers into the playoffs, he was spent by the time it was game 1.
This year he's in much better shape and will be a tough customer as he is nowhere near the usage of last year.
That's a huge game 1, I hope it is Verlander, I want to face good pitching, eventually you have to the farther you may go, it doesn't get easier.

CCs been the best pitcher in MLB the last two months so I agree...CC vs. Verlander is a pick 'em.

That leaves two spots for:
Chamberlain

Bruney

Do you go with Joba, and Marte so you can have another lefty after Coke, or do you take Gaudin? Girardi better not take Bruney, he's frightening.

The Cards pen blew it for Wainright. Really pissed me off. Game in the bag...9 outs left and gave up enough runs to win a series. These guys should be sweeping the dugout this morning.

Twins beat Geinke today, throws a huge wrench into their playoff rotation.
Still doesn't mean the Yankees can't tank against them, if they play them.

Verlander threw 120 pitches and wins on two homeruns from their leadoff guy no less, but the Twins are up 7-1 but it's with Pavano, so I'll say it looks like a very possible playoff tuesday.

PLEASE GOD DON'T LET THEM HAVE BRUNEY ON THE ROSTER! Joba pitches one inning in relief yesterday, so it looks like it'll be him. Bruney is just downright frightening.

ATD...can't believe out of the 4 teams in the NL the Cards finished with the least wins. They were far ahead for a long time, but came back down to earth a little in Aug./Sept.
