they get screwed by one horrible called third strike on Polanco. Nowhere near the plate. Then an untimely line out to short and the runner at first is doubled up.

I wanted the Twins to win for matchup reasons on the mound but not after
watching that sham of a home plate ump pull that shit on the Tigers.
Sorry Twins fans but I gotta call 'em like I see 'em, the announcers on TBS
aren't gonna say shit so I am.
Bottom line, if Morneau wasn't hurt, and Liriano wasn't 5-13, they may have won it already so hats off to the Twins.
Under Gardenhire the Twins are 3-23 against the yankees in the regular season, but all of that crap means nothing now, this is a big win for the twins and tired or not, I hope the Yankees don't take them lightly, if they do, it will show tomorrow.

it's official, Burnett is starting game 2 with Molina catching him.
That means he's pitching game 5 if it goes that far.
I really think I'd go with Pettite right now in the 2 spot.

I don't think we're going to Game 5 with the Twinkies, Tommy. No dominating starter; all 5 throw mediocre stuff and have to get it over the plate to get outs. Yankees kill that kind of pitching.

No Jake I haven't seen that. I honestly believe the Yankees are going
to hit the twins in the face with a shovel and leave a dullen crushing on their minds,
but if the Twins do sneak a win in , it would be today. That "tired" crap
doesn't fly in my book. Twins are the only staff that the Yankees pitching is actually stronger than, but, we'll see, this is why they play the games.
All CC has to do is go 6 innings, then joba, hughes, and mariano can close it out.
it's a shorter game now, but i digress again, we'll see-lol

Cliff Lee roasted the Rockies today. Phillies and Yanks are the most similar lineup wise, and both have maybe , i said maybe, just enough pitching to go deep into the playoffs.

The unps blew two calls against the rockies yesterday, not that it mattered, Cliff Lee was great.
I know there's some cardinal fans who think that ball was fair, and so do I.
Baseball was a sport that always had the "humanity type whatever the umpire calls it is" thing for a long time, but these umps are so bad now that I think they should review some of these travesties now. It's attrocious how bad they are.
Yankees did what they were supposed to do so I am not gonna get too jumpy about it, they have to go to minnesota up 2-0. Molina catching Burnett, Posada is not happy. Posada didn't look very good last night behind the plate.
Who wins, Angels or Red Sox? i say the red Sox, the Angels have red Sox syndrome, the Yankees have angels syndrome, and up until a few years ago the red Sox had yankee syndrome. Unusual ain't it?-lol

The Angels are gonna try and run rampant on the sox. Until they beat them, I will not believe that they can, I'm like that doubting St. Thomas guy in the bible, I need to see it with my eyes before i believe anything.
Angels are 1-9 in their last 10 playoff games against the Sox.
