Tommy or Shawn,
Have the Yankees ever really had Pedro's number? Joe Buck keeps saying the Yankees are trying to figure him out.
BTW. just my personal opinion....AJ's curve isn't any better than Adam Wainrights..They keep babbling bout his curve.
Angel Dust. It's the only explanation for the umps. Can you believe that fukkin' call???!!!! Right in front of his face that ball was trapped by Howard, what a hosing.
It's ridiculous. Ruining the game of baseball. It's never been this bad in my entire life.
The ump was too busy shaking his head over Jeter bunting on 0-2...what an idgit. Thats what happens when the coach gives you the green light to do what you think is right and you start thinking with your left shoe lace.
I thought it was a short hop to start thats why I couldn't figure out why the double play till I seen the ump call it a fair catch..
Ump gets the Bonehead award so far tonight and Jeter gets the WTF !!! award.
and the umps hosed the phillies right back in the top of the 8th on the double play call. The runner was safe at first. Unreal.
In regards to Pedro ATD, the Yankees actually had turned a bit of a corner on pedro for the most part. They won some big games against him, not domination, but it seemed that they had seen him so much with Boston that it kind of helped them out. Same way the Sox used to get to Rivera as well. It was weird to see.
Petey pitched really well tonight. Good thing AJ had his stuff.
Thanks for the info on Pedro Tommy. The double play was bogus. Once again the umps can't get it right. Interesting game last night.. even Joe Buck brought up Damons' week arm.
Great, great game by AJ. Wow, didn't see that coming at all! Yanks get off the mat, and tie it up. I think Yankees have the advantage in Game 3 with Pettite over Hamels. Hamels needs to throw a 2008-like game to give the Phillies a chance.
Tommy...you can't find hatred in your heart for the Phillies? They are so f***ing cocky it's not even funny. The way Lee caught that pop fly, Rollins running his damn mouth, the way Victorino acts like every routine pop up is some great play? Reminds me of the Red Sox of old. They all got some Youkilis in them...lol.
Matsushi goes Long Duck Dong!!!!!!!!!!!
I hate the phillies now, don't worry. the phillies have no confidence in Hamels whatsoever. Pedro starting last night was living proof. When they took hamels out with a lead against the Dodgers, hamels himself said he was glad they took him out. I don't get it, this guy was the MVP of the world series last year. i still expect him to pitch well in game 3.
I was happy to see Swish riding the pine last night. And I LOVE Gardner's speed. His play from 1st to 3rd on Cabrera's single is something the Yankees from 2003-2008 didn't do much of with their old legs.
yeah, but he's strictly a late game guy. he has no bat.
looks like Matsui will be on the bench now in Philly, but you know he'll pinch hit in every game at some point.
Hairston was no world beater even though he got a single in the 7th that turned into a run , via Gardner.
i want Nick back in the lineup in philly. he hit 29 home runs this year. you gotta go with the biggest guns you have
it's the world series .
