  • My latest Ebay transaction

I repair Xbox 360's due to the fact they are a POS.......no probs...makes me a fair amount of coin.

So here is the scenario, I needed a new DVD drive for a customer and the only ones I could find priced decent were on Ebay. All of them were from China except one seller from North Carolina....and his price was slightly higher. I bought his with " Buy it Now " and paid instantly on June 10th. I ordered his so I could get it faster and make my customer happy.

The seller never contacted me. I got no repsonse after several e-mail attempts and filed a dispute with Pay-Pal. Its only $40 bucks, but, I don't like being taken for any amount of money.

The scenario was, the seller didn't even have the items yet as he ordered them from China himself and was awaiting delivery. He never disclosed this and that it would take 2 weeks to even ship the damned thing.

    Here is our Pay-Pal bickering:

I paid for BenQ DVD drive for an Xbox 360. Have not received the item nor am I getting any response from the seller about the item.

Would rather have a refund. I have already ordered another and it will be here before this seller will even ship it out. I won and paid for it on 06/10.....taking longer than 2 weeks to ship is unacceptable.

Seems that customer got a better deal on another drive and is using this shipping delay as an excuse for renigging on our transaction

Have already scheduled a pickup for the package if I refund at this point I will loose both the full amount paid plus shipping seems a long stretch just because he can't wait two days

As in my e-mail to seller, two weeks to ship is ridiculous.....unless you are selling an item you do not have on hand yet.....which seems to be the case. I already have another replacement as it came today...I bought a dead system just for the drive and spent more for it. The reason I ordered this from a person in the states was for the faster shipping.....which I didn't get. I could have gotten this from China myself and it would have been faster. I have no desire to make this seller money as they cost me money.

The buyers lack of patience cost them money and buying another system just for the drive was a bad move. the drive could've been fried. this action clear shows the buyers lack of patience and reason in this situation. if the buyer was half as concerned with the legitamacy of this transaction they could have called me to inquire about the shipping at anytime during the 2 weeks as my number along with all other information is posted on ebay in my profile. Item was shipped to day as promised and priority mail tracking number will be posted. and for the record HongKong is a 30 day wait on recieving the item I know because that's where it came from

You are a fucking idiot. My impatience?? I have customers to keep happy you stupid twit....obviously something you know nothing about. Quit selling items you do not have yet. I think your dad jacked off in a flower pot and you were born a blooming idiot.

Both your parents need smacked...your dad for not pulling out and your mom for not swallowing.

Haha, I like people who think that they have a right to inconvenience a paying customer because they are more important. Don't get in the business if you can't be responsible.

Advertising something for sale which you do not have in your possession without expressly stating that it's not in-hand (i.e. "on order" or "backordered" or "awaiting shipment") is against the laws of most states, and I'm pretty sure it's a violation of Ebay policy. Her account could be suspended.

A seller did that to me. I bought a UX2 recording interface, and after waiting a fair amount of time without receiving notice of shipment, I contacted the seller who told me he was out of stock. I was pretty pissed. Finally he shipped, and it was taking forever. Plus, he shipped it regular mail without any kind of tracking. Eventually he shipped me another one assuming the first one was lost in the mail. They both showed up on consecutive days. I asked the seller what he wanted me to do, but he didn't respond, so I just sold the extra one on ebay.

Absolutely comical- She doesn't want to take the risk of building inventory. Her business model sounds like having people pay a spread over the actual cost of the item for the service of having her enter the order on a different website.

I think I'll go into business doing that- I'll sell you a Custom Shop Jackson- Just send me the spec's of your dream guitar, I'll place the order. Then you can send me the $$$ for the guitar + $200 for me, and as soon as it gets to me in 2 years, I'll go ahead and send it to you. Deal?

Guys like this blow and are the whole reason I barely buy anything on eBay...

It´s one thing to make a buyer wait a few days until you have the funds securely in hand, but it´s a whole different shebang to sell something you have to order first yourself
