  • My band played their first outdoor gig

It was 120 degrees on stage, backstage we were eaten alive by the mosquitoes, the stage monitors were not of the best kind and we made a collosal blunder in our opening song.

But aside from that we kicked ass, the other bands that were on the bill were top 40 cover bands and the odd blues trio, we decided to give those people INTENSITY.

So now I'm home and everything hurts because when I did a Pete Townshend style leap into the air, I knocked my heel against my guitar and after the performance when I lifted my 4x12 cab to get it off stage I got a really painful jolt on my lower back.

I'm exhausted, I'm off to bed.

See all those hot rehearsals not only got your band tighter they also prepared for a hot outdoor gig.
    Damn, I love this Interweb.

Our first outdoor gig is in a few weeks. It's supposed to be a covered stage, but late July here could be anywhere from 70's and rain to 100+ and crazy humid. Can't wait!
