With all the Michael Jackson stupidity, just a reminder that a generation of American veterans is quickly leaving us

I like most of you had family of that generation that fought, most of whom are gone now. I won't go through it here, and I don't mean to take anything away from the Easy, but while Easy were exceptional, their experiences weren't unique. Seeing a guy who was represented in a mini series pass on is a reminder that, as unheralded as his passing was, the passing of others is even less so.
I don't mean to suggest either that there should be some sort of massive, dramatic memorial, but I do hope that folks stop to think about sacrifice once in a while. I'll take my own advice there, too.
