I'm sorry to hear this, for you and your family. I have a little brother who was wrapped up in meth and some hosebag, steals from us and finally ended up going to prison for a few years. He gets out and hooks up with same cunt , same shit that he went down for. He finally got his shit together after I kept on harassing him. Sometime its easier to help friends or total strangers, then to help someone who doesn't even care about themselves.

I see that kind of thing all the time here. What most people don't realize is that jurisdiction means a lot and if anyone not on the bike had been injured that cop would be in a HUGE amount of trouble. Not long ago a friend of mine (twp cop) was chasing a stolen car down a county highway which led out of his municipality into Trenton. Trenton PD told him to stop pursuit (they can give permission to continue, but when they say stop....you stop. Period) and he didn't. The stolen car led him thru some city streets in the worst part of the city and then ran him off the road into the side of a church while they were having choir practice. He lost his job and is now being sued by the church.

If this dude had contact Cleveland PD, they probably would have told him to stop pursuit and had one of their guys keep an eye out.

While the crime was dumb and senseless, so was the pursuit. Senseless.

Bill, I'm very sorry to hear about this. I can relate to the family thing somewhat, though. I have an idiot of a first cousin who just did 18 months for cooking meth. This was his second offense and, I might add, this time it was inside of a school zone.

Anyway, nothing any of us can say will really make it any better, but we'll be thinking of you and wishing you the best.

I know it doesn't make you feel any better, but I can definitely relate. My only brother (younger) has been a complete fuckup from the time he got out of high school. Drugs, stealing, etc. He finally screwed up *real* bad last year, and is now serving his first of a 17 year sentence in a maximum security prison.

Sorry to hear about this Billz, it seems to constantly rain shit on good people of late. After reading your vent though you have intellectualised the entire situation extremely well, and seem to be in as good a place as you can be with it.
