Day job?
Getting better at guitar and teaching. I don't make much money, but I don't go out much so it sort of works. I make enough to eat, play guitar, and pay my insurance on my car.Originally posted by horns666The only thing I choke during sex is, my chicken..especially when I wanna glaze my wife's buns.

Doing projects/sessions/helping friends out here and there or just jamming with good musicians constantly, not ready for serious band right now because I take "a real band" very seriously and don't have time for bullshit... always something goes wrong with "the band" so I'm enjoying more relaxed situations right now. Will not play covers but anything else I'm fine with if it's cool. It's important to play with other folks, that's the only way you can get real good and learn what music is all about."There is nothing more fearful than imagination without taste" - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

I decided long ago that I didn't want to pursue a career in music, and I all but stopped playing. However, my GF since four years is a bassist, and she wanted to play metal. So we started a garage band for shits & giggles, and we've done a couple of gigs. We do write original songs, but live we only do covers.
My day time job? I'm currently unemployed due to the recession, but I'm a welder.
Edit: I would certainly second the opinion that playing in a band can suck big-time ass, unless everyone involved are pulling in the same direction. Our garage band is a bit different, since we have no ambitions whatsoever to "make it", and no personal prestige invested in it. We just play and have fun, which is what music should be about, IMO.Last edited by Sunbane; 08-22-2009, 08:06 AM.

i put myself down as an original band although our singer and drummer are having a baby in the next 2 months so we arent currently giggin but will be back at it soon.....i hope. I like being in a band but at the same time i'm all over the place. i like to listen to guitar oriented smooth jazz, but play metal. i'm kinda on a quest for "the tone" with a form of true expression. thats where being in a band is hard, cause we all have different life experiences and different ways to express them. so to some members its too slow to do this or too fast to do that. i feel a band is a group that helps eachother express themselves instead of be like this is my way of playing period. be open minded and feel life with me, its not a competition of whats "coolest". hell some of the greatest songs dont include blazing solos and intricate fretting. to me its all about feel.......ok i'll quit now. i feel like i'm filling in the about me section of an online dating site or somethin:ROTF:
