we play covers 1-2 times a month. We all work day jobs and most of us have kids, so playing classic rock covers lets us work up songs for inclusion in the set fairly quickly despite not having much time each week to practice. We can be a bit sloppy but we have a lot of fun the people get up and dance. Plus we get quite a bit of repeat business so we must be doing something right
        Hail yesterday

You the guy with the rhoads? What model is it?

Looks kinda like a bolt on XTRR?
I hooked up my accelerator pedal in my car to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

The Cobalt in Van this weekend? I'll have to check with the boss/wife to see if we have plans but if I'm free I'll definitely try to make it down there. The beauty of the Cobalt is even if the music is terrible, there is always something to see going on haha.

My band plays out a few times a month. We practice and drink beer every Friday night- the wives call it our 'bowling night' and roll their eyes at us, but being in the band gives us an excuse to buy lots of new gear.
All Classic Rock with nothing newer than the 80's-all the new stuff sucks anyway IMHO.

Check out the Youtube vid on the bottom on the page- for a bunch of old farts with day jobs it's not too shabby.

Strat God, I checked the youtube footage and I'm glad to report to you. I'm in the same age group and its good to see the older ones still having fun and sounding good at the same time.
Congrats bro. the footage put a smile on this face.
I'll give or rate you 5 headbangers. .

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

Currently in two original metal bands Life Denied and Killing Earth as well as an original Jazz/R&B band "The Remedy". When I get bored I do a cover show or two or a session gig to pass the time

I play in a SoCal covers band that gigs regularly, two guitars, he sings, I don't, we trade off on solos.

site has our demo clips, only one that has a solo is Devil Inside, that's me.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

I'm in an 80's cover band playing Ozzy, Van Halen, Dokken, Ratt, etc... We recently lost our bass player, he is moving out of state but we're looking for a replacement. Its my excuse to let my Jacksons rip through the half stacks live The best thing about it is that I get to play the stuff I like best! Heck, we even freaked out a few people by doing Dream Theater live, all 8 minutes and 21 seconds of it live in a bar
