Primarily a cover band. Only 2 originals stuck in there at the moment. We've been together literally less than a month. We run the gambit... Louie Louie to Living After Midnight. We have a set deal as a house band once a month. In between we are trying to practice and book a couple private parties here and there.

We just got up from crawling.... Toddlers I suppose. Give us another month or two and we'll be running. Cool thing is the huge age differences. 19, 19, 20, my son is 27, and my old gimpified ass is 48. We all like most of the same music. No arguments over set lists or songs to add in the future... so far. Truth is none of us are very good. We fake it 'til we make it and have a blast doing that. Plus we have all this gear and figure we might as well use it.
In an insane world, only the sane seem crazy.

100% Garage. Same guys, same garage and every day has been an adventure for the last 20+ years. We are a 3 man army that mixes it up every way possible and it is a blast. We have outlived the scene, the clubs and the kids and we are still crankin'. Sometimes I feel like I am one of the luckiest dudes ever cause I have a tried and true rhythm section that kicks ass and they think I am the man on guitar. This summer we are lying low just jammin' out down the garage a couple of nights a week and planning our next move. I always believed just wanting to have a garage band would lead to good things and it has.

Garage band here, but with occasional gigs. We aspire to play the local winery circuit and play mostly classic rock, texas blues, and a handful of newer covers. I'd prefer to be playing heavier stuff, but those opportunities are hard to come by now that I'm an old (40) fart.

Cover band...just brought in a new drummer, so we've been re-working everything and adding a lot more tunes. Our old drummer (also lead vocalist) moved up front on keys so we could expand to play a ton of other stuff we'd been wanting to do. Just getting ready to start booking again...2-4 times per month. Everybody's got the full time job / family thing going on these days.

The recordings kinda suck...and it's just 2 of us actually playing all the parts from way back when. We gotta record some new stuff soon.

I'm in a Metallica tribute band (not a lookalike though): http://www.myspace.com/damageincvancouver

I've done about 10 shows with the band, but it's kinda difficult to find places to play in Vancouver. The live music scene is nothing to shout about here, so we've pretty much abandoned playing in town and concentrate on bigger / better shows outside the city.

Ah, the Cobalt - never been in it, but it's reputation preceeds it I'm on vacation at the moment, otherwise we'd have come out.

We gig about 3 times a month. We were out of the loop from March till August looking for a new drummer and then getting him broke in.

This is us from a couple weeks ago.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Sounds familiar, our drummer/lead singer moved up front so our bass player could move to drums. So we brought in a new bass player, and then the bass player turned drummer quit the band. So we get another drummer, and the new bass player decides he wants to play for another band. Then we played a big festival and he changed his mind. Us musicians are awesome!

But you older guys, what are your day jobs?
I hooked up my accelerator pedal in my car to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

I play on my own too. Don't like playing in bands.

Oh I have a full time job, but I work nights, which means I can play guitar during the day when everyone else is out.

Nope, I've found it impossible to find bandmates who a) I like and b) like the music I do (metal).
I've been advertising for over a year, been in a couple of bands in that time, and left both because neither of them wanted to play anything heavier than blues or Nickelback.

I just posted ads looking for people to start a Maiden tribute band, but I ain't holding my breath.

WTF is a day job? I can't seem to turn tricks in the daylight hours. I do much better after hours. My wife is looking over my shoulder as I type this and she concurs!
