My new project was fortunate enough to record at Ardent this past week. We did a few covers ("Cold Sweat" by Thin Lizzy, "Wanton Song" by Zeppelin) and an original.
We have no singer yet, so I had to handle vocals, which was new territory for me. Not great, but they will do for now...I'm most pleased with the guitar tones though. I used my Les Paul '02 Standard through my Splawn Quick Rod, which really cut through.
Anyways, I'm really excited about this project. I'm lucky to find other kids (our ages are 16-18) who want to play this kinda stuff. Hopefully we will be able to bring a forgotten dosage of rock back to this area.
