Pertinent comment. The solo was played on a Jackson DK-2M in flame maple red The "director" thought that for the sake of continuity we should use the same instruments throughout and the guitarist preferred this guitar...

Oh, and I am the singer, right

Thanks for all Your comments guys! In a band it's so easy to look at something You've done and say "yeaaah, we're awesome" and yet never look beyond Your own nose. As much as I enjoyed this experience I instantly started looking to do better and to do more for next time. Some of the comments in this thread will definitely be taken to heart!!

Before I give constructive criticism I just want to say I think the song and production are fantastic. Totally pro.

Sounds a lot like TNT, and I mean that in a good way.

I gotta agree on the wrist thing too. I found it distracting whenever it came firing up. I also agree with trying to take it outside. It kind of felt like you snuck into somebody's garage to film this and you could tell from the limited camera angles that there wasn't a lot of spare room.

Also your lip synching was noticable at a few points in the video, it just didn't look like you were really singing in some of the close-ups. If you weren't that can be fixed easy by just making sure you are singing for the closeups.

Again, I'm not trying to be too negative because I love the music and video is like a 2nd art form that needs to be perfected.

How did you convince Jay Leno to play drums for your band?

Seriously man, i was about to say the same thing. Did he promise your other drummer the position in a couple years and then 7 months after he was settled in, took it back ?

Hey, it looks like you got Zoot from the Muppets band on bass!

                        Hi,

THANKS for all the compliments re:my singing, thanks even more for the constructive crtitcism!!

The way this issupposed to work is that we did this video, basically on a budget of nought, and in a few months we'll get the chance to make a slightly more expensive one (a ballad, even!) - so we decided to use this video for three purposes.

First, to put it on every forum we know and ask people to rip on the video Basically, to teach us what we're doing wrong and what we can do better. Making a video is vastly different to making a song, and it is something we have absolutely no experience with.

I will not take the suggestions here lightly, but I will take them to heart. We'll definitely look into making our drummer actually look like he's playing rock music, try to take the video outside or rent a club and pull our friends in for some shots, open up the angles a bit, work on the sync and light the thing.

Hopefully I will return in a few months with an even better video than this time Thanks for all Your suggestions, and thanks for Your compliments about the band. We'll gladly take them.

But I'm not losing my gay scarf. End of discussion
