I've finished two albums within three months. That's pretty scary.
This new one, The Structure Creates Itself, is what I've been working on intermittently since last summer, but I was interrupted for the RPM Challenge in February and produced my last album for that. The new one is basically the follow-up to my 2009 album Saturation. That was a free jazz guitar/drums duet inspired by Coltrane's "Interstellar Space," and on the new one I've added bass (and rhythm guitar here and there) into the mix along with more diversity and the occasional bit of structural coherence. However, it still might be tough sledding if you're not into 'extreme improvisation'. I recommend letting it stream in the background while you surf. You'd have to be crazy to hang on every note. Almost as crazy as I am for foisting this off on the world.
There's lot of Soloist all over this album, including my 1990 Pro and J0456 on some of later tracks.
If you like Zappa's "Shut Up 'N Play Yer Guitar", you might like this one. If not, well don't say I didn't warn you.
