I started a new series where I show how to play DoF songs and also provide full guitar and bass tabs in Power Tab and ASCII formats. Here are the first two vids. If you don't enjoy the music there's still a lot of cool guitars to look at.

    Challenge
This is a tough one to play - DoF song "Challenge" off their first album "Living For The Thrills". It also appeared on Downtown Metal International Volume 9 ...

Yee haw, that was awesome! I especially enjoyed the trick(?) at 1:47, the descending finger harmonic (?) -- pretty rare to hear it done so well....I've tried practicing that but I usually fail spectacularly!

Thanks! I got that from Chris Holmes - from his solo on Wasp's Restless Gypsy (which still is the best use of that trick I know of). That was always a mystery to me but Antti told me how it's done. I've been doing it a lot in my own stuff to end a fast run. I got very lucky on that video take and hit the sweet spots. I wish I could say it always goes like that. LOL! Also check out the chorus riff on Annihilator's Wicked Mystic to hear that trick used in a different context.
And super cool that somebody actually cares to check these vids out! I post a pic of a guitar and it gets thousands of views but when I move the damn things noone cares. LOL!

I know the old saying that the value of an opinion is generally inversely proportional to the strength with which it is held.
