    UFO - that's where Mustaine got his soloing pose, most of his solo licks and many riffs and songs. Anytime someone on YT asks what to practice to learn to play Megadeth style I send them this song.

    Dave Mustaine in Guitar World 1997...
    This is pretty much what inspired me to develop my riff playing style. Michael Schenker did the solo and when I heard he was only 16, it just made my butt cheeks grow together. I was so pissed at him 'cause he was amazing!

        It's simply perfect in the way that it builds slowly to several memorable "high points" and keeps getting more intense all the time. Most of it is improvisation when Schenker plays it live but it has certain hooks he repeats every time. I shamelessly wanted to do something similar for our upcoming album simply because I think that sort of formula should be used lot more often instead of just repeating verse or chorus chords for the solo backing.

                LOL! Actually I didn't do this in the guitar madness way mainly cause I had already done that about Schenker. Plus it takes less time to just play. Here's the older Schenker guitar madness clip if you haven't seen it...

                    Awesome as always Jani.

                    I think Mustaine is wrong tho, from what i always heard or recall Schenker was 18 or 19 on Phenomenon and 16 or 17 on Lonesome Crow (great fuking album too).
