    I was dicking around tonight and came up with this riff but I'm afraid it sounds like another Dave,,,still might keep it though

        Thanks guys....I might have to transpose it or change it just a bit,after living with it all day,,it still seems a little MegaDave'ish...not that that is a total bad thing,,just not what I was going for..

        what do ya think?

          Sounds fine to me. No harm in acknowledging your influences.

              Personally, I'm not too familiar with MegaDave. (I know, heresy). But I wouldn't sweat it: a) it sounds great and b) I'm pretty sure I can hear your own style here also.

                It's a cool riff, i guess it sorta has a megadeth vibe.. a little..., but it's not what i thought of when hearing it even after you mentioned it.

                  Great riff, very Megadeth. But no sweat, Dave can't write riffs like that anymore, so you're in the clear.

                    I don't know about that.

                    Actually i been on a Megadeth kick lately, i hadn't listened to them since Rust in Piece really. United Abominations and Endgame are killer albums. Still haven't heard 13.
                    He's even got riffs that harken back to Killing on them, Daves not even close to being tired.

                      I stopped at U.A. and WNAH. I just couldn't take it any more. Went back to Rust, Countdown, and Youthanasia for a bit, but couldn't stomach anything past that, then gradually the other 3 got on my nerves.
