  • Some ZZTop with the Axe Fx II and some Mesa Mark IIC+ loose jamming

was fooling with the JCM 800 and found a very ZZ top -ish type of tone , but early ZZ top.
my strings were really dead when I recorded this but you can get the jist of it.
It's pretty cool that I can get this type of tone at 11:00 at night without bothering the neighbors

this is a patch someone else posted ovr on the FAS forum that I've tweaked to work with my soloist a little better.

oh and here's a little Van Halen using a tweaked out Bogner Ecstacy Patch that I had a while ago
this one was fun "Outta Loveeeeeeee!!" once again

Sounds great, and terrific playing - I especially like Outta Love and the BallsyJVM clips.
I was wondering, once you've dialed in say the MkIIC, do the tone and gain controls respond in pretty much the same way they would on the original amp?
My other signature says something funny

thanks! My JVM patch(I have several now) are some of my favorites.
yes pretty much the only difference with the mark amp sims is that obviously
there the graphic EQ sliders do not work the same as they do on a mark and the "input trim" control at 1 =lead at drive=5
I've never owned a IIC+ but I have owned a III and a IV and a studio Pre and my current Mark patch
is a pretty perfect match to my studio Pre(did it by ear not "tone matched") which sounded very much like my mark IV

Sounds really great. The sound has real weight to it. I can't get that with my direct setup. Awesome playing too!
