Thanks for taking the time and for the info.. honestly.. at times.. I just do what I'm gonna do and I don't really bother asking lol.. I just makes sure I save all my cuts and I keep a physical handwritten studio diary should anything/everything crap the bed.. I don't get much hassle with the samples/layers ... but I really pitch it to them as we're just simply augmenting your kit.. not replacing it.. I know that gets done.. especially in modern metal with the kicks in particular.. just replace everything with layers of samples only.. I would if the kit sound like crap altogether I guess.. I know Sneap does a lot of sampling the drummer's own kit and using those in addition to whatever he pulls from DKFH/Superior.
