• SUFFOCATION-Infecting the Crypts

This is what I've got so far. The hard part of this song wasn't the guitar, but trying to program Mike Smith's drum parts. I reckon that's why I ain't finished it yet. HHHHWWWOCK.....PUH! -SCOTT http://mp3unsigned.com/Showmp3.asp?m...0&aid=1689

Sweet, killer playing, tone could use some thickening though. I like it!
Check my Jackson themed Myspace page, hear some good metal, and check out a little shred fest by me.

Hey Psychottic, what'd you use to program the drums?

Thanks Inearthed. I used a Boss DR550 that I programmed by ear. I picked it up at a pawn shop for $125 several years ago.

Cool.

I've been trying to record some songs but its getting to be a pain to program drums. I did them in midi (guitar pro 4) and I've been trying to find a program ever since that will allow me to basically just import the midi file and replace the different midi instruments with samples. You'd think this would be easy to find but I've yet to find a program that does exactly that. In addition to that I'm trying to find a decent set of samples. I picked a really easy song on drums to start off with Gates Of Ishtar's Trail of Tears, which is mostly 8th notes @ 200 bpm and it alternates between snare / hi-hat and kick. I tried using Fruity Loops but it didn't get the job done as easily as I would've liked plus the samples I'm using are decent other than the cymbals (which sound terrible in my opinion)

I thought it sounded pretty cool myself.

Sounds good, but the drums are too heavy in the mix, kinda drowning out the guitar.
