I've been on this forum for a bit now, And I've checked out some of your MP3's. So, I figured I should contribute something. I have to apologize for any mistakes, but I wanted to do it in one take as to not short change anyone. Let me know what you think.

Sweet! Neoclassical guitarplaying is definitly my favorite style. I love the tone you've got going on there. What kind of gear did you use?

I learned it straight from the violin music. I had to transcribe it up an octave to be in the same range as the violin. It's my own arrangement. I could probably tab it in like, a year. LOL!

very nice job Jazzman, great stuff too. some accompaniment would make it little cooler imho...I'm having 1988 flashbacks as I listened to it [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

violin and cello can give you some great ideas....I love Bach too

It's actually a solo violin piece. And re; GOR, I read it from the sheet music. By ear would have taken longer and could have been less accurate.

thats awesome, I wish I could read and play it on the spot like that. When I was studying, I thought I could read but after the 2nd or 3rd time I was cheating and playing from memory so I never really developed my reading skills much, my ear and memory carried me

I know its a solo piece but you know what I mean, you know what the underlying chords or bass line pattern would be from the note sequences [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I love classical music and go through periods where I only listen to it. I'm on a Vivaldi kick at the moment [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Well, I didn't actually sight read it. I had to work out fingerings and bring it up an octave. I memorized as I went along. I studied music in college and I can sight read, but I couldn't blow through something like that on the fly.
