• New backing track - "HotRod" - and a video :D

Ok, here's the track. Simple rock type thing, nothing fancy. Perfect for shredding or whatever.
Recorded with my DR2 (Screamin Demon in the bridge - not a bad pickup, but better suited for rhythm than lead IMO).
Bass was done with my Jackson Concert V Pro.
Enjoy

Here's the video - prepare to be amazed
It's 8 Megs, so you dialup folks will have to find something to do while it downloads

Thanks
All those guitars seriously need new strings, but since those are the ones I'm selling on Ebay... plus I bashed my index finger the other day at work, so crusty strings under a swollen finger means crappy playing

I used an ADA MP-1 and Digitech TSR-12. The whole wiring setup for how I capture audio and video (and why it's always split dead left and right, not really stereo) is detailed in my "Another video" thread. It's a creative wiring job but it works better than blasting an amp into a camera mic

I used the same preamp/fx setting for all the solos. Different pickups, different woods, different guitars, same tone. Go figure
Actually in the full mpg clips you can pick out the individual nuances of each guitar, but who wants to download 6 different 30+ MB mpegs? For that matter, who wants to upload them?

Man I love broadband... 7 sec download.

Very nice Newc! Great editing job too. Switchin' axes made it more interesting; not that your playing wasn't interesting enough. Now let's see ya do that with ALL your guitars.

I did a recording with your backing track (great track) reminded me of Bad Company/ZZ Top/ Foreigner kind of thing. I didn't play over the whole thing, just a small lead bit over the first section then a short harmony, but it was fun to play along with

Rad backing track, bitchin' playing, awesome video, link it to all your Ebay auctions for these guitars that you're selling.

When I listened to the backing track for the first time, right at the drum intro, I nearly shouted, "We're not gonna take it..."

Awesome playing too, Mark!!!
