Question about recording into computer

Hello..

I downloaded the Demo Software of Guitar Tracks Pro into my 3.2Mhz 1G RAM, blah blah Dell 8400 computer...
I plugged my PoD 2.3 into the mike-level input of the Integrated sound card. However,I get a lag between the time I hit the string and when I actually hear it. Like a longgg lag, completely unusable. I ran the guitar directly into the same input and got the same thing...

Is it the software? Did I miss a setting?

Am I doing something wrong or is it that I skimped on the soundcard...

Don't go into the Mic input, use the Line In.

The lag is caused by the fact that integrated soundcards drivers are not really made for recording purposes, but there is a way you can fix this by installing the asio4all driver wich works on most integrated audiocards.

You can find instructions and download the driver here

That should fix your latency (lag) problems.
