Nice playing!!!

Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

For some reason, I always hated that song, but your rendition was awesome and on the mark.

Thanks for that website too, I started downloading the backing tracks I don't have like crazy. There's the guy's cover of "Love Thing" and not to sound cocky or anything but I greatly preferred my own version. Wow you wasted no time at all using the link I sent you to get Satch Backing tracks did you? what no "thanks Nick Cool site?" geeeeez
Not bad , the main riff was off a little bit but I like what you did with the rest of it. All the tablature I've ever seen showing the main riff is WRONG! get your hands on a video of him playing this live and you'll see what he's doing.
Download the backing tracks to Crystal Planet and Summer Song. they're right on the money! So is War.

Okay that website is AWESOME. I'm really enjoying listening to everyone's Satch covers there. Interesting takes on the songs. The backing tracks are also top quality, for example their "Summer Song" track is a lot better than the one I currently have on my computer.

Ya it's a great site isn't it? Someone from guitars101.com turned me on to it.
I' am a Total Satch freak (ask Chuck or James they'll tell ya!) check out the Crystal Planet and the War backing tracks too. They're really good, I jam over them all the time!
I feel like I struck gold with that site!

Re: Satch Boogie

And as for the riff, I have only been trying to get it right for the past year! hahaha. Youre right about the tabs being wrong! I gave up using tabs and just listened to the song and learned it by ear. But i was blown away by the quality of the backing track. Anyway......this version is rough and im not really too happy with it, but i was bored and threw it up anyway.

No Problem
It's a pretty good take as it is!
I saw G3 last fall here in Boston and we where dead center 10 rows back, and
we had binoculars, so I got a real clear view of how he
actually plays the riff.
Get his DVD "Live in San Francisco" and you get a pretty clean shot of what he's doing

Hey, stop teasing. Could you post the tab for the right way to play the main riff? I just tried watching the Denver G3 DVD but it goes by too fast for my puny human brain.

go to guitars101.com and join, they have a members backing track section that is HUGE! You can find some Vai tracks there. Hell you can find just about anything there, I've got some great megadeth backing tracks and Extreme backing tracks from over there
I've never tabbed anything out before
Hmmmmmmmmmm if I can find the time to do it I will.
