I can't...it won't.
It just tells me Quicktime can't open it.
No shit!
It won't give me an option.

I got a better idea...I just un-installed all of it and I'll buy the disc and use my ears.

But try again. Do this:
1)Open the winzip program
2)When you are in the winzip program, click the Open icon
3)Choose the Extreme...zip file and press enter
4)Click the Extract icon
5)now open the powertab program
6)click the File and the Open
6)choose the Extreme.ptb file wich you unziped

If that doesn't work you have to open any window's window, click the Tools and choose Folder options
Then choose the file types.
Chearch the where the zip. file is
Then choose it and then click the change button and then choose or browse the winzip.exe file.
Do the same with ptb. file
Choose the powertab.exe or something do open it.

Quicktime is a pain in the ass about taking over every file type on your computer. Just right-click the .ZIP file you want, Save As...., then open WinZip or whatever and extract it manually.

OMG! Between Nor calling me and walking me thru...and you guys typing your hearts out, I made it work.
I have no idea how, probably can't do it again, and don't care anymore, but...it friggen worked.

You can also just drag the zip onto the Winzip icon and it should open it, and drag the ptb onto PowerTab's icon and it'll open in that.

To make it permanently work, right click the ptb file, select Properties, then on the page where it says "Opens with Quicktime", click the "Change" button, find PowerTab, select it, Ok it, then select the box that says "Always use this program for this file type" (or whatever) and ok it.

Now whenever you open a ptb file, it opens in PowerTab.
