I posted a few months ago that after 3 years of being defunct, my band Trigger Effect was in the studio recording some new material. Here's an unmastered version of the first track. The mix will sound better after mastering but check it out. The track is called Strange New World.

I really liked that Matt, especially the vocals and the dynamics of the song, good song. I'd like a little rawer guitar tone on the solo but it fit the song nice...great job!

Yeah, I don't really love the solo tone either but it works with the song. I was having intonation problems with my JJP so I grabbed an old Les Paul Studio with dead strings on it and that's what we ended up with.

Anyway I think that vocal style is perfect for that song, not a Dickinson or Tate but it fits perfectly, It is WAY more enjoyable than all that DATED growling thing. Your singer is better than most of the metal singers anyway so I don't see any problems singing like the way he does.

I used a 7 string and tuned it down a whole step, then dropped the low string another whole step. Had to put a bass string on the damn thing to keep it in tune!
