Am I the only one who's scratching my head as to why two 17 year-olds have over $5,000 worth of equipment between them? They should be playing JS models and Line 6 Spiders.

Because they fucking rip on their guitars. Did you see their guitar battle video?

Great choice of covers guys. If you were playing those tunes in front of a "real" rock and roll crowd, they'd love it. I wish I'd been half that good when I was your age....keep rockin.

Re: guitar battle vid

Kevin used to be a poster here/inside guy at Jackson (I think he even worked there?) after Jackson changed hands he was a dealer I guess, but he's screwed some people over and has earned himself a pretty bad rep. I don't think he means any real harm it just seems like really poor management, but its hard to tell. He always seemed like a decent guy from his old posts.

Re: guitar battle vid

i have a Gibson les paul my self, but its a standard and finished in cherry sunburst. i love the guitar to bits but i use my Schecter S1 elite the most because of the Higher fret access and the option to switch to single coil pickups.

But my Gibson will allways be my ultimate guitar.

if you have an hour or two to waste and the patience to read 23 pages of the post from beginning to end ...indulge yourself.

Btw, I hope you keep those vid links alive.. I still have yet to see your band as a band. I can't play this stuff at work unfortunately.

That orig.wmv was a way off in the sync...at least it was when I watched it a couple times..but the groove was very megadeth sounding and the playing I thought was good.
The Jackson player really had some nice solo ideas and played very well. You guys are both kickin butt...IMO, you should hook up with someone who's been there from your point has their shit together with about 25 years experience who could take you under their wing and give you some solid advice and guidance. I recall playing bars when I was 16.. if you don't mind my saying so...that age is a busy and sometimes trying time and there are a lot of distractions. You guys got alot of energy and talent, but the lack of experience may be a hinderment in trying to find a direction. Sometimes a bad choice or two may play into it..next thing you know, your selling off your fav guitar for a hot car or a diamond for your squeeze.
