I built that one just now in their configurator - subtract $315 cuz I accidentally added a second 400GB drive (wouldn't need it) for a total of $2,413.
Seems kinda high but then again it does have 4GB of RAM

Not sure if I'd need the 4x4 MIDI interface. I've got the gear to run it but probably not the software.

Because I want a computer that people actually write AFFORDABLE software for

I don't know if you need all that or not

HP Media Center 3.0 GHz P4 w/HT
1 GB ram
160G HDD OS and everything else
300G Segate Barracuda 7200 Dedicated HDD for audio recording only
DVD burner
CD burner
M-Audio 1814 FireWire
Event TR6 Reference Monitors
19 in LCD

I use Sonar 4 PE and having a dedicated second HDD really lessens the CPU strain. I just installed it yeasterday and this PC has so much media/video adn aotio and portable device bays I had to remove the floppy disk drive because I dodnt have any place to put it

I don't have a PC dedicated just for DAW, and frankly I don't see the need unless I was doing sonar studio grap for a job
