Hows the mix sounding.....

JUST getting into some vocal recording guys, id like to hear your thoughts on if it sounds decently "in the mix". Dont mind th elame vocals or the backlground snarls, I was just messing around to see if it sounds ok enough to start some serious recording.

So im just looking for some critique on how the overall mix sounds.

ps - the second clip was me messing around with some cool new VSTI's in Cubase redoing the Superstar part in Jesus Christ Superstar, I always LOVED that riff!!!!

Sounds great to me!

Here's where I'm confused, though: Why are you worrying about the mix when you haven't even done the tracks yet?

Just do the vocals and worry about capturing the best performances, THEN you can start agonizing over the mix.

I do things differently Chuck. I like to get the technical side of thigns figured out first so that when I lay it all down, it WORKS!

Ive done recordings in the past where I do all the work, and it sounds like ass. ITs also the way I record into Cubase, im ALWAYS changing my tone and blah blah.
