I think it sounds great Pete. It's not Sykes tone, but like you said...you weren't going for Sykes tone.

I think it has a very open sound to it. I'd like to hear what that amp sounds like doing early Van Halen. I think it might be better than the 5150 at old VH [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I like the tone.
I got used to them while I was out with Caffery, though he does use some pedals in front of his for leads.
