This is the best demo I've heard in a good while.

Like the others said, I'm really impressed with the singer. The scream in the beginning of "Father Felon" sounds very Halford-esque, which is a good thing - caught my attention right away. His normal voice sounds a lot like someone I've heard before, but I can't really figure out where. The guy in Annihilator maybe? (it was ages ago I listened to them though, so I could be totally off)

I like the guitar parts as well, although many riffs are just a little too "busy" for my taste. But I love the Dimey stuff in the beginning of "Scapegoat"! The percussive part in "High Speed Death Roll" that Em also commented on kicks some major ass. I would second her idea about thundering drum rolls there.

I'm listening to it for the third time now. My favourite is definitely "Father Felon". I love the main riff, it has a good arrangement, and the whole song is just to my taste. It's very hard to rate the remaining three, because they're so different, and all of them are good. HSDR is really growing on me though.

Ty is a tremendous singer ..he was going to repalce Ripper in Winters Bane but didn't want to be in his shadow..he had a bit of friendly "competition" when Ty was in a Soundgarden Tribute and Ripper was in a cover nad called Seattle..both singers love Cris Cornell..it may be "Cornell" that is ringing any bells..That's Ty's favorite singer in the world....oh he loves Paul Stanley too. OK This was left out in here ..but was eventually posted on the Uber thread..This is me not knowing tape is rolling level check. My buddy just said "play something"..so this is me just being a "FAG"..and nothing more..I'm not playing for keeps here..BUT it is my main sound to my demo..My Uberschall NUDE in the raw..no fx , nothin'..he put echo on it and stuck it on my demo as a "surprise" that pud..

I gotta get my ass in gear, and get something done myself. I've been real tired of the mediochre stuff my band has been producing lately, due to too much input from other people with "clouded" vision, or just plain old lack of good taste. Not to mention the ongoing problem of having a drummer and singer who actually show up. So I've decided to make things simple, and go it alone. I just need to figure out why my 8 tracker isn't recording right.

Well Death Perception was SUPPOSED to be a swedish flavored death thing like High Speed buy Ty sang clean..he's the singer..I'm the riff generator..he does his thing..I do mine..it works out cool..

We don't get a chance to play amps like this..so clips are something as a "reference" and that is NO studio magick there ..that's for sure..that is exactly what a raw , DIMED uber sounds like ..so you guys get the idea..gain is all the way up..to 11! [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I heard Lynch's stuff with his uber and saw his settings..now I can't touch Lynch but his sound is MUDDY..mine is NOT..and he's in a "studio"...RIGHT???!!!

Father Felon and Death Perception - very cool Anthrax meets Fight vibe - I like these best - neat bass break in Father Felon - more of that would be cool.

Death Perception - I would love to hear this again with a different drum track - a tune like this is made/broken with the drums during the stops and such. This song could be as cool as the first two with some rational drumming

High Speed Death Roll - I basically like the tune but I don't like the vocals at all - kind of hard for me to listen to - the single-note unison riffs are cool - I think I'd like to hear a harmony guitar in spot or two with that

Damn Bill, this has to be the first time I heard ya play. I'm definatly diggin all of em (kickass version of Eruption might I add [img]/images/graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]) I actually threw em in my MP3 player, gonna give em a better listen tomorrow. You've got some pretty cool chops man, and a heavy as fukk tone [img]/images/graemlins/headbang.gif[/img] The singer is cool, got that clean style goin on, but has an edge to him (kinda thrash style, I dig it a lot) If you guys had the right drummer (this guys's good too, don't get me wrong) it would really bring these already kickass songs to a new height. That and better production and it would goddamn KILLER! Get yer ass in the studio dude, stuff this cool should be heard by more!
