Give me a couple of days...I need to get the software for this sort of thing. I'm not really sure as what software I'll need to get to record it and send it to you. Recommend me some software and I'll gladly download it, if possible.
I've got some idea's and would love to be a part of this. Very cool.

Cool idea, Pete! Can't wait to hear a final product.

What's that ya say? Why don't I submit something? Surely you jest! I can hear what I think would be a great solo in my head, but unfortunately I'm unable to transfer it to my fingers. Can't wait to hear y'all's stuff, though.

I am no lead player, not by a long shot.
This is gonna be interesting.

Stop thinking of it in terms of being a lead player - think of it in terms of adding to a song as a musician, and let your mind wander - it doesn't have to be a "traditional" solo with meedly meedly and brwiddlew brwiddlew

Pete, I just sent you the tracks. I did a couple of versions. I thought they were all pretty good but I just sent you the one that was the most interesting I guess.

Thanks alot bro!! John G

BTW.. if any of you are remotely interested... I used a Boss GT-6 (I just got another one) with a Matchless patch directly plugged into my computer using a Soundblaster Audigy 2 Pro card and my 1992 Jackson Stone Finish Rhoads with Duncans and Dimarzio's in it. Its the guitar that nobody here wants to buy. Thanks again Pete!

Pete, I sent you tracks as well. There was this one lick that came out when I was improvising through the backing that I nailed but, DIDN'T have the record button on I kind of remembered it and tried to record it and bombed so it's in there (or a varation of it at least) but, recorded at half speed instead

The entire signal path consisted of:

Ibanez S-Classic 420 (stock neck humbucker split)
DR Tite Fit 10-46 strings
Dunlop Ultex 1.0 pick
Ernie Ball 10 foot cable
Johnson J-Station
Monster digital cable
Creative Soundblaster Live 5.1 Platinum soundcard
Cakewalk Guitartracks 2.0

Could you have chosen a friggin faster guitar riff to solo over. Jeez.. I felt like I was soloing over a Motorhead song.
Oh yea... one more thing. Its one take. I know thats how you usually record so I figured I would do the same. I listened to the track once. I hit the record button and there you have it. Just like Pete.
