• Testing Out V-amp, Beatcraft, and Mixcraft

Bought mixcraft and beatcraft from Acoustica.com and also picked up a V-amp. This is just something crappy I threw together to see how it all sounds. I'll be working on some better stuff sooner or later. I know lots of people here had experience with Beatcraft, but anyone else use Mixcraft?

    Sounds pretty good to me!

Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

        Plays fine with winamp 5

Song sounds great, i'd say build on top of that. I hope you don't mind a little opinion but.....you might wanna try dropping the master down on the rhythm guitar a bit. When you go into the palm muting riff, it does the infamous "wub wub". Which means you have the levels too high. I find it better to record the levels down and then bring up the volume, that way its not buzzing or doing the "wub wub" when playing palm muting riffs. Try to get the rhythm as clean as possible. Just a suggestion

Drums sounds great of course, LOVE beatcraft

Oh yeah, I could definitely tell the levels were too high, but I was just playing around with it. For $69.95 package deal for both programs, this seems to beat anything that's out there. I've been using ZOOM's stuff, but I think I'm ready to sell my digital track recorder and stick with this. Of course, I had to buy the V-amp to replace the effects on the ZOOM and a bass, but I think overall, my songs are going to come out a lot better.

oh yeah, they will. Minus the mixcraft (im partial to Adobe Audtion 1.5), you're using the exact same thing as me. Can't beat 70 bucks for 2 kickass programs and you DEFINATELY can't beat the vamp for 100 bucks. Enjoy brother and be sure to post the songs you record, i'd love to hear em
