I did this a few years back and just found it on my harddrive-never got around to playing over it.At the moment i am working with a couple of musicians on this but i thought it might be cool for you lads to have fun with as it has many styles (country section included!!!)thats to all you bass dudes too,knock yourselfs out and play what you want-team up if wanted-i dont care its just for your fun

no probs mate,there only played by american session players and are style based i have plenty of kick r's metal and thrash tracks but your not gettting them [img]/images/graemlins/nono.gif[/img]

Ok, took me a minute or two to realize this wasn't one big song with many changes, but rather 4 smaller bits in one track [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

both of those sound very good Newc,in fact the 1st one kind of sounds like my origninal noodlings over this-and the 2nd one works well with its great tones
They are 4 styles tied together but i would treat it as one long songs as both the start and ending sections would have the same chord progression-from the two clips i have heard hear i think if you linked them up played over the other sections they would work a treat.You can also higlight a drum track and highlight a region and seperate,As long as loop playback is in use you can fine tune to get the perfect loop-then you can extend into diferent sections
but those last section clips worked well-good stuff mate

I did split each section into a different track, and then played them all 4 at once - it's hilarious [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I'll work up something where all 4 are playing at once [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

For the #2 track, I used 2 bass tracks - one clean and one slightly distorted, then blended them for the mixdown. While I haven't "studied" any Police songs, that's the vibe I got from it when it was done. Maybe kinda half-Cure/half-Police? [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

lol yeahh mate i was playing add9 chords there too and the Police always spring to mind-kind of mesaage in a bottle/every breath 9th seq..cant wait to hear you on that country section..lol..one of my mates on another site who i am in a team with is composing the music for this-so i will sit back and ruin it when i get a chance.. Hmmm. Can't say I'm a Country expert, but the length of the bars is a bit off for me - I'm a 4/4 guy [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
