• VHT Clip

A guy from another forum posted a backing that he used his Deliverance 120 on and gave me as good as an excuse as any to record a clip using my new VHT GP3 preamp:

DJ Some Clue

Signal Path was:

Ibanez RGA121 guitar
VHT GP3 preamp
Mesa 2:100 power amp
Mesa Road King 4X12
Carvin CM67 mic
Macking 1402 VLZ-PRO mixer
Soundblaster Live! 5.1 soundcard
Cakewalk Guitar Tracks 2 software

Sounds pretty nice Ivan, good job. I love raw in your face tone I hate hearing compression and delay up the ass on clips IMHO either the backing track nees to come up a bit in the mix or the lead down a bit as its mixed a little too hot to hear the backing track clearly

Thanks finnman. Thank Shawn... yep I need to get my mixing chops in order (as well as my timing while recording my improv). I like efx but, usually only for ambience. With that being said though, I am going to experiment quite a bit with efx and recording from now on (and join the 21st century I guess ).
