have uploaded a few old Guitarwar tracks i did from the past-some are collabs i did with musicians there
I will upload every track i did there soon as i will be too busy with the band to keep an eye on the site for some time

here are the new tracks

http://www.justinjohnwakely.com/cont...tradiction.mp3
This was done with Jazzfinger(check his site out from my links)

http://www.justinjohnwakely.com/cont.../64_stereo.mp3

Jimmy Adcock(radioking)did this track and i started the leads(and played the main melodic theme)STRINGSAVVY(amazing session guitarist who remains nameless!!!)plays the solo after me and the last solo at the end---Jimmy plays the solo befor his one(diferent tones helps)

another oldie recorded with a ESP lTD axe and the podpro

http://www.justinjohnwakely.com/cont...ic/twister.mp3

another oldie.Who knows what guitar i used but i can tell you the podpro was used on all tunes before i used the shadowman name there

http://www.justinjohnwakely.com/cont...dour_woods.mp3

*pushes away the hoards of people on this thread*

nahh mate its just a hobby for me,and not even an important one.In my late teens i was in bands then lost interest even after spending a year full time at the Guitar institute-Family and friends always come 1st.Over the last 4/5 years i have got back into playing, just for the fun.I am in a band now and hope to play a few times a week when we are ready,so perhaps i might earn some good beer money-i should realy teach as well(i used too)-might get back into it-if i ever needed the money i know i could fall back on my skills, but at the moment i am happy not being a musician

Thanks for those words my friendanytime you come over here your welcome to stay at my pad.Hopefully next year band permitting i could come over there and smuggle some drugs back in my suitcase
Ohh yeahh SAVVY is fucking amazing! He is just an outrageously fucking good musician who kicks arse in every style-i rank him just below the godly chad..lol..but he is that close!!!Those tunes are very 80's mate-as are most of the other tunes i did for gwar-i started to mess around with my note selection only a couple of years ago-untill then i was pure diatonic
I still have a long way to go-and the musical road is never ending-but i enjoy the ride it gives me along the way
Ohh fuck yeahh i was close to knocking danny's hat off, wild ride has got some great rock licks in it-relistening to that before i uploaded it i realized how good that solo was and how over the top it was with the orgy of notes played
thanks for the listen-hurry up and record your band!!

Excellent stuff Justin. You are a great player and everytime I hear your clips I think the same thing...and that is: here's a guy that gets it. Your playing is always nice, you tone is always top notch and your arrangments don't put me to sleep atfer 6 bars You also know how to produce and mix so your talent comes out nice to the listener. Your are certianly one of the better players who ever posts clips. Often times clips posted are poorly done just to show off how fast someone can play with no meanining to it. You know when to play and when not to...great job

Re: site updatet with a few old tunes

Thanks for those kind words ShaunIts always good when someone says they like your playing but it means more when there a good musician themself.I did all these instrumental tracks to be honest because of Guitarwar.com.Before that i was more a less lead band type of player who didnt show off a lot..lol..but www.guitarwar.com was an adictive competion thats guidelines for voting only included the lead guitar so that made me play a hell of a lot more
Funny thing is i have turned full circle and now am playing less lead in a band(and loving it too!)
once again a big thanks

As always, I'm impressed to hell with your playing.
+100 to what Shawn said. Your lead playing always adds something to what you're playing over, which unfortunately
is not always the case with a lot of "shredders" out there.

If this is our perdition, will you walk with me?

Re: site updatet with a few old tunes

great mixes justin. There were a few clips where i thought the drums were a little too forward in the mix (Black Tie ie) IT kind of masks the guitar playing a little bit.

But good stuff, you can tell the "evolution" of your recording as the mixes on various songs keep sounding better and better. Your at a good point where hopefully your only limited by your creativity!!!
