  • Some of my funny lyrics.

I found some of my old lyrics from the 80s. I'd forgotten all about them. Lots of AD&D themed stuff. Here's a snippet from one I wrote after I'd discovered Yngwie, entitled "Rock Bach".

    Lightning, thunder, electric guitars sing.
The sound of minor scale chords will never cease to ring.
Take me back to times of past
    the royal courts of rock.
I want to learn the old baroque
    take me back to Bach.

Definitely funny in hindsight, considering that electric guitars didn't exist during J.S.'s time (perhaps a new time travel movie? - An American Metalist In J.S. Bach's Concerthouse). I have even funnier stuff. But the thing that struck me the most about these lyrics was the sheer amount of stuff I put out, even if it wasn't good. I guess I hadn't yet fallen into the mental trap that I couldn't create anything, and the excitement of doing rock and roll was fuel for my creativity.
    Just a guitar player...
