I've had that guitar for a about a year and a 1/2 now and the more I play it the better it feels. These raw oiled necks definitely get better feeling with some miles on them. The "mojo" is starting to really emerge on this one. I find myself playing my soloist less and less these days .......and I freaking love my soloist.
Plus my daughter thinks it's "pretty" so it may end up being hers down the road.
I can't see myself ever selling this GMW barring a financial disaster.
but go ahead and make me a ridiculously, outrageously high offer, I'll listen

Try 57 6" away off axis from cone center 4" and a 57 or other prefered mic behind cabinet then blend 2 tracks.

57 set up above and a condenser mic about 6 feet away from cabinet 2 feet off floor and blend 2 tracks.

thanks yard dog, right now I've only got aone mic a 57 so I need to experiment with positioning.
I've got a cb with grenbacks and a cab with V30's (hellatone an Avatar cab)
any difference in micing? the V30's seem to be much easier to work with (at least to me) but I like the sound of the greenbacks better.

For one they don't have Me on Bass, Scott on Drums and Rich On Vox..he audtioned for VH in '96..the same year our friend Tim Owens joined Preist..he was a huge fan of ours!!!!

That's a ten+ year old live basement tape..

we were going to to Dave's backing band in '97...but things fell by the way side..Dave's new DLR flopped..which I thought was a great album..and he poofed..and came back with Atomik Punks supportin' him..because we had long broken up by then..
