  • Old wood, one coil, and a bad attitude

It was brought up in another thread whether a P-90 pickup could be suitable for heavy rock and metal. I believe it can, and was asked to post a song I recorded a month or two ago demonstrating that:

I'll have to ask you guys to forgive some sloppy playing on this track. Some of it's intentional, but some of it isn't and it's got a few cringe-inducing moments for me. I originally wrote this song for my band (which is the primary reason I do these "demo" tracks) and I hope you enjoy!

The drums were done in FruityLoops using ns_kit7 and the guitars and bass were recorded into Adobe Audition via PodXT. The guitar I used for the entire thing is this one:

      Thanks guitar08man!

Fruity Loops is great for making quick drum tracks. My only complaint is that it 's not compatible with Audition as a VST peripheral, so I have to mix down the drum tracks as a .wav and import them into Audition that way. It works, but it's a little slower of a process.
