Anybody here have one? My Fostex VF16 shit the bed so I am looking for a new recorder. 24 tracks and burner for 799 seems pretty good but I know nothing about this model, thanks!

No. I used an Alesis HR-16 drum machine, and a Boss GT-6 for the distortion & effects. I also used a Les Paul, which Fretburner just picked up from me.
I would suggest getting a descent pair of self powered monitors as well. They really help in the mastering process. The Forever song was mixed with headphones. The Ozzy tune was mixed with the monitors.1990 Jackson Professional
