  • Pink Floyd-ish Jam:

I used garageband and I was quite pleased w/ the quality and tone I got considering all this was, was garageband's drums, and rhythm parts and Keyboards I laid down. I just improvised over it, so I'd just like to know what you guys think about the overall sound and quality of the recording.

    Nice

Would you mind posting the backing track? I'd like to noodle over it myself

        Cool

Sorry I was in such a hurry to ask for it without providing the feedback you had initially asked for, that was rude of me

The sound quality of the recording is very good, though the drums could use a bit of depth - a little "oomph" to make them sound more natural (but that's just personal preference there).

The mix was nice and even, and sounds really good through my Behringer B2031A monitors.

Did you apply a stereo expander effect to the final mix or was that done "by hand" before the final mix? Either way, it's nice and wide.
Listening back to some of my own stuff sounds more like "dual mono", so I've applied a stereo expander effect to the final mixes (since I lost most of the original tracks when one of my drives died last year), and it works for me (just gotta patch all them flubs somehow )
