Careful. Just because it is using the same converter chip doesn't mean it's sounding the same. A big part of the sound comes from the analog part. And there expensive converter are much better than cheaper converters.
I am not saying that the 1212m converters don't sound good. But there is a reason that expensive converters are well expensive.
