I like Thomson and Root not because they play what they do, but because they do alot of cool stuff in general. Outside the band, they're really creative artists, Root playing in Stone Sour (which has a few good tunes) and Thomson who owns a guitar shop in Iowa and gives back with free lessons (no, he doesn't teach Slipknot songs...). I'm not saying these guys are uber gods or something, it's just, they get bashed alot by the avid guitar community, but all they're doing is playing what fits their band best. If people like Slipknot and choose to look at them as gods, let them be, isn't that what entertainment is about?Comment
