rough demo, opinions needed

Its a rough demo for sure but you have some pretty cool ideas in there. It sounds like 80's old school thrash. Your solo playing style reminds me a little of Kirk Hammet. One word of advise... if you vary the solo speed and you will accentuate the faster stuff. Some slow bends, more vibrato. That kind of stuff. Also, get off the neck pickup when you hit the slow bends and vibrato. One last thing... don't repeat cool solo parts unless they are tied in with the melody of the song. Leave the listener begging for more.

Your playing is very unique & you came up with some really interesting stuff there. Keep it up. You have some real potential, but a few timing issues here and there suggest you are playing a bit beyond your ability. I agree with John that you might slow it down a bit (if only in some places) and work on cleaning up your technique.


Production wise, your guitar tone sounds very "direct"... I'd suggest you dial down the reverb a bit. maybe some better cabinet simulation if not a real mic would warm it up & make it feel more alive. Get some bass in there too if you can!

yea i have a cheap line 6 amp spider, and a dod 250, just pugged it in into my computer
